Banner placement can vary. The only way to know for sure is to launch your site and measure the results over time.
In the meantime, you should know that ads are not allowed on contentless pages. My recommendation is that you pull these down or fill them up quickly as I have known of several individuals who lost their AdSense account by "pre-launching" pages with no content, only ads and a menu.
