Google has revealed two new models of its increasingly popular Google Mini, the company's small-business search appliance. The new Minis will be available in two options: a unit that can search 200,000 documents for $5,995 and a flagship model that will sift through 300,000 documents for $8,995.
The original Mini, which can handle 100,000 documents is still available for sale at $2,995. Google says:
The Google Mini can provide search for up to 300,000 documents, and it supports over 220 different file types. The price includes 1 year of full customer support, software updates, and replacement coverage.
For those that require more however, a super-size Google search appliance is also for sale that can search through 15 million documents. The unit also has advanced features that the Minis don't have such as continuously crawling content for refreshed or updated materials automatically, database indexing, unlimited search collections and a RAID storage array. Unfortunately, you won't be able to purchase this unit through Google's online store.
