PHey, I would not be concerned with backlinks being bad, You will never get penalized for someone linking to you. If this could happen then all you would have to do to smoke your comp. is get a few sites banned and then put some links on it and point it at your competition! Linking to(you placing a link on your site to a bad site) is where you get penalized. you cant controll who links to you, but you can controll who you link to. Try to get relevent links, the try semi relevent links. So the order is quality and then quantity. Make sure the anchor text is your main keyword and just keep building links, There are many ways to get links. This is one of my favorites. Type this phrase just as you see it but change mortgage to YOUR keyword phrase and do a search on google,yahoo or msn and you will more than likely get hundreds or thousands with link exchange scripts on their sites, you just have to fill out the forms. Here is the phrase to type in! mortgage "Please also suggest my link to the LinkPartners.com Directory."
