I suppose I should reconsider the "hidden" thing, now that I'm somewhat more 'official'.
The main reason that I usually do this is that often my 'presence' is just having an open tab in the browser.
I could actually be elsewhere for hours at a time, in the yard, or my basement workshop. Or down the street having a beer, for that matter.
I wouldn't want people to think I'm ignoring them, if I didn't respond to messages right away.
Particularly those that I'm
actually trying to ignore, like people with smartass questions.
Besides. Skulking can be fun and effective. I like to sneak up on spammers.
