You're going to give up now that you think she means no? When a girl says no (about SOME things) Look at the way she says it, her body language, eye contact... etc. You can have any girl you want as long as you don't have like a third arm or something. It's all about presentation, confidence, and sincerety. If a girl thinks you are sincere, but could quite possible be a "bad ass" also, she normally will let her guard down some.
You already screwed your first impression. No big deal, get her to atleast go with you somewhere as a friend, and show her the real you. Also, before you go havng your friends help you out, it's much easier to do your homework. I followed my wife (before we got together) to starbucks every single morning after the subway. If I missed that train i'd have a horrible day. I knew what she liked to read, her favorite coffee, and a few choice things.
I've never been the type to back down if a girl wouldn't let me take her out. I get what I want ten minutes before I know I want it. Gotta get out of that "shy boy" mindset. Good luck to ya, bro. p.s. if you learn and make yourself brave young, you'll have no problem when you're older. Carry on.
