Wikipedia is a PR9 because it has so many links going towards it, and it is so popular. It also has an abundance of quality content.
It can be inaccurate, but overall, I tend to trust most of the mainstream articles there. Some (e.g. a School's article), might be slightly inaccurate, depending on whether the person writing the article liked the school or not.
