Hey, Arun, don't double-post. You could be banned for it.
As for your question, I feel its totally justified. Umpires are not really needed in cricket, except for providing employment.
Technology has developed so much that we can have a computer examine the replays to judge whether a person is out or not out.
Or, there could be only a third umpire, who could be referred to as the umpire.
LBW and run-out decisions and a decision on any other controversial thing could be made by him.
There's really no need for an on-field umpire. So, I agree with you.
