If the images haven't been modified then attribution could possibly make it better, but then you couldn't use negligence as an excuse if you were sued.

What you have to think about though is: will the copyright holders care? will they care if you start to make a profit? is there likely to be anyone who's paid the copyright holder for a license so they can use it (if they have then you not paying looks bad and someone might care)?

So if you like then attribute the copyright owner but to be truly safe go for your own original material. So much on the internet like this unknowingly violates copyright laws, so the most important thing to consider is : will anyone care?.
