how to get ranked well on google

Can someone tell me how to get ranked well on google?I have tried everything ! I rank on the top 5 on Yahoo and MSN and all other search engines. I just can not seem to do well on google. My website is www.cajundetective.com any suggestion would be appreciated.

I just checked the source code of your website.
First of all reduce the number of keywords that you have used. Its not good to write a story in place of keywords. Use some healthy little(less competitive) keywords then using keywords like tips, help, etc...
these keywords will never get you top rankings because
for example: the keyword tips gives 000000000's of results, Just check Goolge MSN Yahoo. Do you think your site is better then all of those with PR's 7 and 8.

Just stick to the keywords that would initially get your site on top.. and then start addding more competitive keywords.

Again reduce the size of Description as well.

Also you designed your website with Frontpage. You need to clean up your code's. There is a lot of unwanted scrap lying on your source code. which again would waste time of Search Bots.
Just clean the source code.
Otherwise you have good content.. so you should build link popularity and your site will automatically rank well.

And Yes build a Sitemap and Submit to Google if at all your site is not indexed properly or some pages are not getting indexed.... which again would become a problem for not ranking well..

listen, Google is depend on Title and Discreption,

So put your keyword in title tags and also put in descreaption.

If your getting high results in MSN and Yahoo that's a very good start as you must do doing something right.

In my experience time is a large factor in improving your Google results. For example the amount of time your domain has been registered andthe amount of time incoming links to your site have been active.

Also with Google the anchor text of incoming links seems to be even more important, if you can get the anchor text of these links to be the same as the keywords you are targetting wherever possible this should help greatly.

for google, the most important factor as i expect is the link popularity.
unless we achieve reasonable link popularity comparable with our vompetetors, we cant rank well even if our web page is perfectly optimised.

as yahoo, msn consider more about onpage optimisation, it is not that difficult to rank well there when compared to google.
