How does this site get ranked so high?

Doing a search for "tissue array" (without quotes), the site tissue-array.com ranks #1 (same on yahoo too). I don't understand how a site with a completely blank homepage (using a javascript onload to redirect to the real site) can rank so high without doing some dirty SEO practices. Also, they have 8 backlinks according to google and around 30 according to yahoo.brbrIs it because of the usage of keywords as the domain name?brbr(by the way, I am biomax.us.)br

It's quite likely because of the keywords in the name. As far as I can see there is no dirty HTML going on in the page that redirects - all it contains is the title, desciption, and the redirect.
I saw your site in the AdWords listing at the top.

Well, you should be proud of your domain lol. I think andrew is right. when you search such a word, it will highlight(bold) your domain name. therefore the domain is also a keyword.

google only discloses backlinks of PR 3 or higher. they never disclose all they know. The next thing is that their anchor text is also "tissue array" which makes them rank high(it is actualy their url which has the keyword phrase they rank well for). I am showing 111 Bl's on yahoo, 108 on msn, so it would be safe to say that the true BL's on google is about the same(spiders find links, and I am sure that yahoo and msn's spiders are no better than googles). I guess what I am getting at is that your site is not SEO for this term and this site is. just basic seo.
