Why is my site still not indexed by google?

I had submited my site into google a few days.Why is it still not indexed by google?
How long will I have to wait?

Well, you might have to wait for more than a week. I got mine indexed like 2 weeks after I add the sitemap to Google. Just be patient, Google will always remember you.

It will take more than a few days to get listed.Make sure there are other sites that link to yours so that the Googlebot can find and crawl your site.

Your site is about how to build and promote a successful website, so to be honest I would have thought you wouldn't need to ask this question.

You also need to create a robots.txt file and submit a sitemap to Google and other search engines, as already suggested.

Ok, I'm a little confused. I though that you created a robots.txt file only if you didn't want certain, or anyspiders crawling your site. I don't have a robots.txt file, and I get crawled by every spider imaginable.

You are right about the robots.txt file, but if you don't have one it creates 404 errors in the server logs because it's the first thing that the spiders look for and it's generally considered good practice to have one.

I've already posted reply to the same query earlier in my post. There are several ways to get listed in the search engine in 24 hours. I've a very good article on "[url=http://seodiscussion.blogspot.com]Guaranteed SEO". Have a look if it helps.

Google will take serveral weeks to index your site. But if you have a link (from higher PR site)to your site, Google bot will follow the link and index your site.

Have you ever heard about purchasing a link?

But you can get a free link by submit you article to article directory or add your site to web directory( But it take a long time.)

Believe me, write some article and submit.
I used this way, and my site was indexed in 1 week.

Post an ad in craigslist.org and place a link(text) to your site and it will be indexed within about 72 hours!

if your site is extremely new it can appear for a while and then again sandboxed so don't start celebrating
