Code for a page that you don't want indexed?

What code do I have to put on a web page if I don't want it indexed by Google?...ex: a test page or a legal notice page.

The best thing for that would be a robots.txt file.
The robots.txt file must be placed in your root directory (i.e. http://www.yourdomain.com/robots.txt), and then you have to include the correct code. For example,
Code:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /tmp/
Disallow: /~joe/
Would disallow a search engine from crawling the /cgi-bin/, /tmp/, and /~joe/ directories.
Here is a helpful resource for robots.txt files.
