Is duplicate content affecting my ranking?

Hi,

I have two websites inkredible.co.uk and dgap.co.uk. They are virtually identicle apart from prices.

My click-throughs from Google have gone through the floor recently. Is this because Google considers one of the sites to be spam because of its duplicate content?

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,

It's very possible that Google considers one of the sites to be a duplicate - you should keep the older site and do a 301 server side re-direct from the newer site.

Yes, it is probably the reason your rankings have dropped - www.copyscape.com is a good resource to check for any duplication.
