Google displaying backlinks of PR3 - myth?

FONT face="Comic Sans MS"Someone told me Google only displays backlinks that are PR3 or above.BRThis can't be true as I can see some backlinks to my site that are PR2/FONT
FONT face="Comic Sans MS"I have over 5000 backlinks on MSN and only around 100 on Google - can anyone shed any light as to the exact rule with Google and displaying backlinks?/FONT

If it's a myth, it's a widely-accepted one.
All I can say is that I've seen it repeated dozens of times in these forums.
By people that seem to know what they're talking about.

It is not theory. I have software that gives analysis of links. Google has only shown PR3 BL's since JAN of this year for sure. I am not sure if it did not start in dec. 05 because I did not work that month. I first noticed it jan 23, 2006 from looking at my records.

Well how do you explain that I can see backlinks to my site on Google that are PR1 and PR2!!!

Your spartium.com site is showing BL's of all PR. I am showing 89 Total links on Google in this order:
PR 0 11
PR1 10
PR2 15
PR343
PR4 10
Average PR is 2.3

And your anchor text is spartium.com at about 70% and online mall in about 48 %.

I do not know why. I will investigate some other sites and see if it is a fluke or if they rolled it back.

I have just checked 5 other sites and all are showing the full range of PR on BL's from 0 to 8. I just did not check any higher.

I stand corrected.

This is another new change - I noticed it a few days ago.
For my website, it used to say something like: 'showing 30 of 100'.
Now it gives every site.
[I noticed when I got loads of GC links when I did a link search.]
Maybe Google decided only showing links of PR3+ was not beneficial enough.
