A pipe dream?

I found this bot on my site sucking up my bandwidth, so I decided to find out about it. On their homepage one of their goals is:

A name=WhatIsItH3What is MJ12bot doing on my site(s)?/H3PWe do spider the Web for the purpose of building a [url=http://www.majestic12.co.uk/projects/dsearch/"distributed search engine with fast and efficient [url=http://www.majestic12.co.uk/projects/dsearch/download.php"downloadable distributed crawler that will enable people with broadband connections to help contribute to, what we hope, will become the biggest search engine in the world. PA bit of a pipe dream, don't you think--becomng larger than Google?

Finally. Someone is inventing the wheel.

Seems to be rather ambitious. Trying their search, and getting delivered to something called
'mj12search.kicks-ass.org' didn't exactly inspire confidence, either.
Or some of the other cute names that seem to be search parameters.

And with results being sent in from individuals' computers, it should give the hobby-hackers
some amusement fiddling with the results.
