Hibrbr
www.thecollectivedesign.com.aubrbrI need some help with this problem. Our studio has had a site up for about a year now and although Google has the site indexed with a short description, we can never find the site when running a search in Google, Yahoo etc. We have tried using key words used in the ‘key word tags’ header, and even words found in the description which google shows when I type in site:
www.thecollectivedesign.com.au, but the site never gets found.brbrOur site is flash intensive, with one .swf file, however I have created a HTML text version, with certain key words and links to our flash page, as the main home page in hope that Google will read this, while the casual viewer gets redirected to the flash page with the ‘check for plug ins’ behaviour. Is this the wrong thing to do?brbrI’ve set up a sitemap and verified the site in the ‘Google My Sites’ but still no joy in finding our site via a search. I understand that it is best to have links to our site from external sources, but not sure how to do this as we don’t have any affiliation with other companies. I know of other studios that have similar sites to us (ie Flash only), and they seem to have no problems whatsoever, and I was wondering if certain ISP’s manage their customers websites so that they do get hits in the search engines, does anyone know if this is a fact? br
