Google ranking

Hello,
Normally a siteis black listed in google when it is listed in the unrelated categories of the diffrent directores. My question is that suppose my competitior web site owner is listed my site in unrelated categories without my knowledge. that kind of attempt will affect my site ranking ?. If affect how can i avoid this.

Thanks

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
You can check for backlinks by using the term "link:" and your full page name (no space).
You should probably do this in Yahoo, as they usually show the most backlinks.

If you see your link where you don't want it to be, you should
contact the webmaster of the site and request that it be removed.

That is controversial. Relevancy of web sites is relative.

Don't you want a backward link from unrelated but PR-ed 10 site? I don't thimk so . What are spammers looking for? Related backlinks? No, just backlinks.

So, don't warry if your competitor submits your site in unappropriate sites. The only disadvantage is that he will recieve all account information on his email.

Serious mistake!Watch what spammer behaviour and do what they do (legally of course)- maximum backward links, no matter PR.
