Yes, submit to Dmoz, then forget about it. There are some things that should be taken into account if you're actually waiting for a listing.brbr1.) How big is the category?br - If the category has hundreds of sites already listed then editors could be less likely to edit there. They might want to spend their time working in other under-developed areas of the directory. Or, editors might see that the category is already well represented and won't want to add more sites to it.brbr2.) How competitive is the category?br - If the category is really competitive then it could actually take longer to get listed there than for other, less competitive, categories. A competitive category could mean that it's being spammed regularly and a lot of editors don't want to wade through the spam because it's too time-consuming, or because they're more likely to find sites that are not listable. Conversely, a site submitted to a category that gets few suggestions could get listed quicker since there won't be many sites waiting for review. But, you should always suggest your site to the best category no matter what. Submitting it to the wrong category could cause delays in getting your site listed because the editor will have to forward it to the correct category - where it'll wait for a review by another editor.brbr3.) How interesting is the category?br - Of course that's such a subjective question. But, where and how often editors edit depends on if they're interested in the category or not. A category will not be edited in until an editor who is interested in the subject comes along and spends time there. brbr4.) Is your site listable?br - You know your site better than anyone else. You know if you have information on your site that's copy and pasted from another site, what's even worse is if you don't care enough to cite the copied information. You also know whether you're apart of an affiliate program. If your site has little content or non-unique content then it won't get listed. Some people think their site is listable when it's not.brbrAlso, don't forget that your site can be submited to the World part of the directory if it's also in a language other than English, and it can be submitted to a Regional category if you have a brick and mortar business. The wait time for a site review varies. It can take less than a week for someone to get to your site, or it can take several years before it's reviewed.br

They definatly take their time, I submited one of my clients sitesabout 8-9 weeks ago and I just got a relpy last week saying that the site could not be listed as it did not have an address on it. They told me to get an address put on and then resubmit which I will be doing, fingers crossed they will let it in.
