Google toolbar, FF 2.0 and Ubuntu 6.10(Linux)

I installed Ubuntu which comes with FF 2.0 but when I tried to install the Google toolbar it says it isn't compatible with my version of FF. I know it worked on Ubuntu 6.06 which came with FF 1.5. brbrAny ideas,brbrBradbrbr

This is odd, I've used ubuntu 6.06 with earlier versions of of firefox and the google toolbar. According to google toolbar help it should work with version 2 of ff.

I found this link of the google help with some possible reasons and fixes. You should try some of them.

Thanks span class="name"Fridge-Door, but that didn't help/span, I have posts at Ubuntu, FireFox and here. Other people are having the same problem. You can install 6.06 then install the toolbar then upgrade to 6.10 and it works but I don't want to start all over. Someone else made a small change to the install file and said it works fine now, but I would rather wait till Google or FF fixes this problem b4 I use a hacked version.brbrThanks,brBradbr
