New site, has hard times getting Google to update the index

Hi, I have been struggling with this for couple of weeks now. I have bought a domain name, www.MarketGround.com, which I plan to convert to a popular classifieds forum. I bought it in September 2006. It had (has) PR of 4. I thought it was a good deal.

Except, I just can't get Google and MSNto reindex this site and show new pages of my site. It still (two months later!) shows the old 66 pages from the old site. The information of the old site is totally unrelated to this new one. By the way, Yahoo shows the new pages already.

Last month I created Google sitemap for MarketGround. When I log into the sitemap account, it says last crawl was on August 19th! And nothing since then! Yet whenI look at logs, I can see googlebot there everyday.

Could you please tell me whats wrong? I waited for a month patiently. And now I am starting to get very worried.

Thank you very much!

That is a bad shout, you are doing the right thing by gaining backlinks from SEO forums etc., I would suggest you need more and some high PR ones aswell, Yahoo directory would probably be worth your while, maybe write a press release about your new site www.prweb.com would be a good place to submit one to, make a links page and exchange linkswith other forums, and submit to directories in general, a good list of free ones can be found at www.directorycritic.com, have you got an RSS feed? If you have then ping thehell out ofit try www.feedburner.com and try www.pingomatic.com and this one looks perfect for yourneeds add your feed here:

If
you haven't got a feed then get one and then submit it to these places, do as many of these things as you can and the new site will be indexed in no time. That should keep you busy ehh!
