FONT size=2I have a website, ultracarpix.com , (See signature for active link, for some reason the link wont work when I type in here in the post....) It is strictly a site for pictures of cars we have taken in our travels. there is some history on there as well about each of the manufacturers we have on the site so far. It is about 45 days old. I have submitted it to google and the URL comes up when you search for it. But none of the pic come up if you search for a specific car we have on our site. each car has its own page and the title of the page is the specific car make and model. I setup the tags for page about 2 days ago. How long does it take for the crawlers to pick it up? For instance if I search google images for 1957 Chevy Drag car there are about 3 pages of such a car. We have several pics of this exact car on our site. They are not showing up in the search. Any ideas.

I also saw on one post where the person said the knew how often the crawlers crawled their site. How do they know this???

Are you talking about getting the pictures to show up in Google images?

Hi

I am sure the experts on here will either agree or disagree with me But had look at your site NICE but the pages with the cars has no text, meta tags are fine. Some one told me a long time ago google dosnt really look at meta tags more interested in the content of the page. Stic in some text with each picture might make the difference

Assuming that you are talking about results to show up in Google Images results, for the images on your site to show up in Google images results

Name your image files accurately
Put a link to the image directory somewhere on your page
Use ALT tags for all the images on your website

Wait for the next Google image results update. For image results, Google uses a different bot, which indexes only image results. The image bot visits much less frequently as compared to the Googlebot. While Googlebot may visit every week, Googlebot-image may only visit your site every 6 months.

Thank you for the tips. I will go back in and add a little text on my pic pages. Maybe that will help with the search results...
