Google sitemaps and www.dot.tk?

Is it possible to use a www.dot.tk URL, and still use google site map?
When you use google sitemaps, google asks you to have proof that you own the website. You need to upload a html page, or put some meta tags in the code. With a .tk account, you can't edit the html, or upload new pages, because it is just a referrer to your site.

It's not possible for the .tk domain, because you cannot upload the required file to prove you own the site.
You could upload the file for the actual location of your website - that way, Google will know where to go in your website.

That's a shame, because I am using a freewebs website!
