google entry "type ahead feature" isn't
My search in this forum could not find any posts about what I think has been a change in the Google entry box behavior that I observe with both MS Explorer & Firefox. I almost always refine my Google searches by editing my search entry right in the search entry box. That always worked well.
In the last couple of weeks, Google seems to have added a "type ahead feature" so that when I try to edit my search entry, Google jumps in and types something in the box that "Google thinks" I want to type -- usually it is what I entered for the last search and what I want to edit so that I have to start my edit all over again. This is certainly NOT a feature from my point of view. I cannot find any way to shut this "feature" off and I cannot find anything about it anywhere on the Web. Anyone know anything and, especially, can anyone let Google know that some users will not like a "type ahead feature" and that Google should offer a way for users to shut it off? Thanks for any info. |
