Google building an Os?

I don't know what you all know till now but I'd like to know more of this...

As you can read in many articles, like a post at Kottke, it seems Google isn't a normal search company any more. With the come of their toolbar it seems they were ready to fight Microsoft. Also I read in an variety of posts they also hired some Microsoft coding veterans, and believe me they didn't do that just to code some simple spreadsheets or simple applications. If anyone knows some more about this, let me know. It also seems to be that Google already reserved a domain called GBrowser and this might be the next thing we can expect from them?

Soon we will al be starting up our GooOs in a couple of years from now.
How would that be like???

Le Marquis, you continue to amaze me with your posts! I've read it about ten times now, and I enjoy it more everytime. Your new avatar lures me into your story and reconfirms that this will all be a reality someday.
Google has such high standards and are so committed as a company, I'm feel sure their browser, productivity suite and OS will give any existing software a run for its money when it is released. I appreciate the time and effort that you spent on this. I picked me up a couple of good `bookmarks in your article as well. Thanks again.

What you post is what counts, I agree on that for sure. I'll be reading up on it because it has peeked my interest again . I know they've been talking about all this (OS and browsers and luring/attracting good employees ) for awhile now, but I haven't really heard anything new about it lately. Please, do post it to keep us all informed.
