Multiple Cached Pages On Malformed URL: Google Error?

Try this:

Type site:www.(anyurl).com。 (Insert an ampersand, number sign, then the numbers 12290; ending with a semicolon right after the dot com (It displays on this board as a square, but it is actually a unicode for a symbol). A good URL to try is CNN.

Normally, CNN would return over 800,000 hits. This specific URL returns about 2,000+ hits, with each .com ending with a ? question mark or a period (.).

When you try clicking on the cached pages, they are supposedly inaccessible. Go to the URL bar and remove the code where the (。) exists (I.e., remove %E2%80%82) and press enter. Voila, you see a cached page!

Many times, these pages are duplicate crawls of the same page with different time stamps. This seems to be some sort of a google bug. I've tried on various sites and I can sometimes purge out multiple cached versions of the same page. Moreover, these pages cannot be removed with the remove tool since the tool does not allow a question mark (or a period) to exist after the dot com URL entry.

Is this normal??????????????????
