Can I google using SSL ?

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Google search engine, with SSL (encryption) ?
I've just started a second job helping out on an R&D startup, doing most research from home. I'd like to encrypt communication with google, so potential "evedroppers" can't know what terms I searching for (and what google returns). B/c you can learn a lot from what we search for.

I'd hate to sound like those crazy phobic people... but we really have competition. Up untill now they only tried half-hearted phishing, and I don't think they have money or knowledge to set up evedropping... but it made me wonder.

Can this be done?
I tried https://google.com but it just redirects to "http".

If you suspect that someone is stealing your traffic, try installing Antivirus software with firewall.

Comment.

Of course, there's also stuff like wireless router listeners and stuff that software would not prevent.

for using userscripts,
1.need to register.
2.confirm links at your mails.
3.need GreaseMonkey add-ons
