whats up with the google results?

hi everyone after a long time,
actually i have been busy doing programmings since few days and didnt get to check the SERP and so on. so, now when i checked it, i find that the google has reduced its results. i mean when i opt for 100 results for each page, it used to go upto 8 or 9 pages. and now today, when i checked it has about 6 pages only. anyone, like to share ur views on it? or doesnt bother at all

huh? you mean when you set its preferences up to 100? or in your rankings?

I think that has to do with how many results say the exact same thing. If you go to the last page and click to search with the omitted results included, you'll get the 1000 results as before.
