Google intros Q&A service

Google continues to enhance its search capabilities, pretty soon, we will never have to venture outside its domain. Do you like this new edition to our already powerful search engine? I do.

Google Inc. on Thursday began delivering factual answers for some queries at the top of its results page, to save users from having to navigate over to other sites and look for the information.

Hey, I like the new feature, though I had heard about it a long time ago. I wonder what other things Google displays when you type something in the search box.
MMmm i've been searching a bit, and it seems that Google doesn't do anything when you type for exemple 'Belgium time' or 'Belgium clock' or even 'Belgium weather', I would suggest them to use those things as well. Did anybody found other search keywords that includes a google explaination?

Well, Google always had reserved definitions for a few specific queries on their search engine, and it also had quick-links to useful web-based applications ready for the user when they made search queries including the terms "calculator", "[currency] to [currency]", "[currency] to [currency] converter", etc. I've always found these features helpful, as well as their present linking to articles and dictionary entries at Answers.com, and in the past, Dictionary.com.

I still remember when you and intelliot had discovered the answers.com addition. I like that site a lot, it has really good results in my opinion.

I think Google will beef up its support abroad in order to remain a force. I just read an article that they are concentrating on hiring in the "redhot" tech Indian market, but are having difficulties because theya re so darn picky. They have hired 25 so far and would like to increase it to 100 at some point. I remember reading somewhere that they around 3000 employees now. Some of their perks include: Free lunches and dental care on-site at the Googleplex in Mountainview.CA. A full belly and white teeth, we're there dude!
