toolbar bookmark prob

Google bookmarks not downloading/accessing. I am running Ubuntu 7.10 w/ Firefox. If I click on the down arrow next to the bookmark "star", "Downloading Bookmarks..." is grayed out and they never load. I also have FF running on XP and it download/accesses the bookmarks fine.

i don't think that Ubuntu is the reason of the problem.. maybe try to reinstall your toolbar..

Thanks lefty, I tried that but it didn't work. I have done a lot more searching and have found I am not the only one with this problem. I found a lot of nearly identical posts. It seems to be happening with Linux & FF. I found its mostly Ubuntu but that may just be because Ubuntu is very popular currently. There were numbers of "fixes" although no official ones and none that worked for me. I have 4 computers at home including a couple dual boot (Ubuntu/XP) and this is how I share my Bookmarks. I know there are other options/programs to accomplish this but I don't want to use "other" options, I want to use Goolge Bookmarks.

I found this, https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ub...ne/015833.html "bug 120681". It defiantly is a known problem but no one seems to have a fix for it yet.

how about try other version... i try ubuntu i think its the first released version with FF on its package not sure whats the version of the FF... but it works fine...
