As most of you have stumbled to the cn.-link & spam sites, I must tell you something.
Your google search queries may be sent to those sites for all to see. Yeah. The following happened about month ago. So.. I searched with a fairly complex phrase but google didn't have any results. Then, a week ago I tried again. My phrase was in the page description text. Example: Quote:
Well, you get the idea. My phrase was quite complex so it couldn't be a coincidence. I then tested searching couple of times in Google with a word I made up, like "jinglyjanglylillypollypoppalinggalangg129". Bingo, some days later it was on a similar spam site. Absolutely not a coincidence. It's a mystery to me how these queries got to those Spam-sites. I did a spyware scan and it revealed DosPop- and Softomate toolbars. I got rid of them quickly. I suspect the cause of these "redirects" was those toolbars, but I am not 100% sure. Happened to anyone else? Someone please inform Google about this.. |
