Is google taking over the world?

Ok im currently studying a foundation degree course and one of the things expected of me is to produce a presentation.
My topic name was 'Is google taking over the world?'
I wish to find everyones views on this and maybe the reasons for these views as well? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Google give effective and informative information and service... which most internet users rely on them.. the higher demand the higher this company gets bigger bigger... and yah thats quite true.. google dominate www.. but i think in a good way...

Hey thanks for your help so far, and basically i just want to hear your views on the way google as a company is expanding. Thinking about the services they offer now and maybe even future services they may offer?

it may look like google is taking over the world for the reason that people are very into it, i mean instead that people is the one who manipulate this search engine but what is actually happening is that google is already the one which manipulates people... people always want to have the best rank in google, the right number of backlinks they must have and of course not to forget the GOOGLE's PR

Not at all. If google taking over the world then they should have at least 90 percent achieved on all of their services. Why there are a lot of people still using the competitors services than patronizing google's services?
