retreiving web stats from the past?

I really don't know where to go to ask this... I have a domain hosted by godaddy and didn't realize their web statistics did not start automatically once the hosting started. I have now launched the stats. What I am asking is if there is any way I can retrieve the web traffic statistics from before I launched them? I really only need a simple hit count, with no more detail than that. I want to be able to honestly say that the site has had x numbe of hits since it was launched... I hope someone can help with this..

try to use statcounter webstats as a substitute for you to monitor your site while working out with your own webstats..

Check the control panel for your webhosting to see if there are any statistics.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way for other people to accurately count the number of visitors to your website. Alexa tries to estimate stats, but if you have a new website then it is unlikely you could get any meaningful data from here.

just like what andrew247 said... try to to check your alexa rankings.. and if the site is new.. it might gained less traffic.. so maybe just try to estimate...
