iGoogle irritant

I have been using iGoogle as my home page for sometime now on my MacBook pro. Recently the cursor started disappearing from the iGoogle search box. It appears initially as the page is loading and then evaporates and I manually have to put it in the search box. I've recently upgraded to Leopard 10.5.1 but I honestly don't know if that's when this started. So I'm perplexed whether this is an OS or a Google issue. Other information: Browser: Safari; Processor: 2.16 Intel Core 2 Duo; Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Thanks for any help.

i think,.this is not iGoogle problems.
because of "cursor sometimes was disappeared in safari".
"Try repairing permissions in disk utility".

Thank you, ugly_cat. Unfortunately, that didn't resolve the issue. I may try an OS reinstall.

I opened my iGoogle homepage on my XP machine and I had the identical problem so assumed it was not an OS problem. I removed Labpixie "Hangman" Gadget, and the cursor now appears in the iGoogle search box. Problem solved.

So meaning, that program was the problem that might have conflict to your cursor program..

Yes. I'm sorry. My post wasn't very clear. I had installed a Labpixes gadget, the game "Hangman" on my homepage. When I removed "Hangman" the cursor reappeared in the iGoogle search box when I open my homepage. Apparently, the game caused the cursor to disappear until I manually put it in the search box.

Well, you could create an inlined gadget with some javascript code to set the focus on the search box. Or maybe change an existing one. Needs to be inlined though, and you need to have a look at the source of the page to find the name/id of the form. Might work.

Thank you! I had the same problem - really annoying. Never would have guessed it had anything to do with installing Hangman! But as soon as I removed it - problem solved! Too bad though, I liked Hangman!
