Rebex456 is on a distinguished road
Newbie, keyword content on website?

Hi,

I am new to the site and would appreciate any input. I am self employed and have set up a website to support my business. I have only recently realised that my ranking is really poor so have changed a couple of keywords and have increased the occurence of these keywords on my site. I only made the changes yesterday and am keen to see if they have made much difference to my ranking. Anybody have any idea how long it will be until my changes are recognised by google?

Many thanks!

Don't worry about your keyword... Google will index your site automatically....
Just optimize your site regularly for the PR of your site.....

get some new links towards the newly updated site and wait til the spiders see the changes that you've made. With regards to your ranking, do further link building campaign, make use of your target KWs as your anchor text (variations of it will help your too) and you may also include the KWs at some parts of the web page (i.e. Title, Header, content)

Try to put targeted keywords that is relevant t your theme. You can use wordtracker to see which keywords are better. Additional on this, visit your competitors site and see what are their targeted keywords that you might also use for your site.

Google will index the site and concentrate on increasing the back links. It depends on the competition of the keyword to come in the rankings.

How about targeting not competitive keyword while you are in process of targeting much competitive keywords. Try to use long tail.

If there are no enquiries and leads from non competitive keywords, then there does not seem any benefit of it.
