Google homepage errors abound. Is google down? Gmail down?

Googles giving me an error today on every PC in the house (4 of them) nothing is viral, no spyware, no trojans. VERY much on top of that sort of thing with 5 + scans per day and multiple scanners.
Google is my homepage, today I open it and it redirects to google.co.uk automatically. The gmail website goes directly to one of those internet explorer cant find the site pages, and I cannot by any means get to my email.

If I try to click the link in under the search engine that goes to google.com it says
Error 404!

/ncr
File Not Found

and at the top of the page it says vhcs error

I cannot access any google site but google.co.uk. I do not live in the UK, im in the US. I need ot check my gmail account, and the google mail account link on the .co.uk page doesnt work either.
Most give the 404 page with / something and file not found with vhcs error at the top.

Anyone else? Any fixes?
I already checked my ip address many times, flushed the dns, set an ip for my adapter, cleaned all cookies and temp files, etc.

I have the exact same problem!

Do you happen to be a member at gbatemp? I went to gbatemp last night, heard some popping noises, and then lost internet connection. When I my internet came back, I couldn't access google.com... google.co.uk works.

looks fine here... maybe its just your connection or in your region...

maybe you should make a reply in this topic to let the admin know that it is a serious problem:
