Link count using: link:url

Hi,

When I use link:url, most of the links to my website do not appear.
I use to have more than 2000, now only 80 are counted (even less are listed).

But when I use
www.mysite.+com -site:www.mysite.com
(which is suppose to exclude all the internal links from the count)
All my backlinks from external website appear.
And I have even more than before, which make sense.

Any idea why ?
I hope Google counts all my real links for my PR.

what search engine are you talking about?
they have all been jumping around lately with the backlink results ive noticed google are counting less than anyone else

try checking on yahoo & msn for a more accurate # of backlinks since google does not show all your ibl's..
