Why do some sites show categories and others don't?

Hi all,

If you search for Nokia, it showes a list of categories (including their newest phone etc) under the first search result.

If you search for rockstar it just shows the URL with the short description.

How do I get my site working like Nokia's? So that Google shows a list of categories?

Those are called Google Sitelinks and there is no way to add them to your site. It is done automatically by Google and it seems to me that only the biggest and best (advertisers?) end up with Sitelinks. You can read about it here:

It happened only for large sites where pages are properly optimized..

it also depends on the navigational structure of the site and it's compatibilities with the algorithm of creating sitelinks

Only quality website with great sitemap. and ofcourse large enough t have such SERP

Others say they are authority sites.
