Very basic question about Google

Being something of a novice I have a basic question about the Google listings.

How do I change the title of my website that appears in the listings. I don't want to change the web address, just the title.

Will some kind person help me?

Better check your ranking to your site because it will hurt your rankings a little bit.

Hi,
By the help of change meta tag of your title u can do this easily.But it effects your ranking so be careful.

If you want to change your title with out change the web address, then my dear friend when you change your title then your does not change. You have to go in you web page source and open it your chosen you edit section and just change your title of the web page. The title of your web page should be your targeted keywords.

it isn't instant to replace what already has been indexed in google serp...it takes time...

Once the bots indexed your website tittle and descriptions it takes some time before your new title and descriptions will get indexed. and changing it will hurt your SERP rankings.

Yup just change your title and build links and it will automatically change your title but will also automatically affect your rankings too!
