On 301 Redirects, will google be mad if?

If I use a 301 redirect for site A to Site B, can I still submit Site A to google, even though Site A is being redirected to Site B?

Is that google friendly?

Would appreciate the insight!

Guess it depends on type of redirection: HTML, PHP, Apache directives, other...
