subdomains and sandbox
I am looking for advice on subdomains in relation to google. I have a PR6 site that is relatively popular. I have created a subtopic related to the topic of the site and want to create a subdomain for it. Will the subdomain get sandboxed and if so is it for a shorter amount of time? Also...would it be smart to point a new domain towards the subdomain?
Thank you. |

Why would Google sandbox a current un-sandboxed site? Your subdomain is just a subdomain, not a new site, so no, it won't be sandboxed. It's the same as adding new pages to your website.
Smart to create a new domain for the subdomain? No. If you do so, that new domain will get into Google's sandbox. |

thank you guys
Thank you for both of your answers!! As for pointing the domain at the subdomain...this won't be looked at as kind of a doorway page or will it just be looked at as a redirect?
Thanks! |
