using the "-", is really hurting page rank?

Hi, my url is Lifewear Union made t-shirts, union made sweatshirts, ALL USA COMPONENTS, Unite-Here! union bug, quality USA t shirts (Powered by CubeCart). My page rank was always around 10-18 with search words such as "union made t-shirts".
So i noticed the #1 and #2 spots use "Union-made with the hyphen, so i tried that. I got dropped to the 4th page.
So i went back to the original, but it is still on the 4th page.
When i google "union made tshirts" i come up 1st page.
When i google "union made t-shirts" i come up on 4th page.
When i google "union made t shirts i come up on 4th page.
WHY is using a hypen or a space in between tshirts hurting me so bad? This stuff is drving me crazy for 2 yrs. now. Please help me!

I doubt it has anything to do with the hyphen. Maybe you change the title too often so google keeps dancing around with your ranking? In order to rank high it would be more important to get backlinks to your site, with the right anchor texts.

Use the keyword that ranks high..Maybe DennisT was right, you're always changing title of your site..About the other keyword that lands on the 4th page, optimize them and promote them..Use them in your article submission, forum posting, social bookmarking and blog commenting..

I think there a limits to the number of hypens that you can use before search engines get suspicious. I've heard it's two per URL

Are you sure you have Page Rank around that, or is it actually ranking?

it leads to my blog. whose pR is 1.
