BIG INDEX

Who has a bigger index – Yahoo or Google? And does it matter? Which engine is more popular – Yahoo or Google. OK, I'm sure you see my point – there seem to be more questions out there than answers

It doesn't matter whose index is bigger anyways - you can't view any results past the first 1,000, so they may as well just only count those numbers.

If is that true then why the other SE's are not Google why they depends on Big G.. I think there are two type of crawlers in Google one who only mark the URL other can pick.
64.208.33.33 crawl1.googlebot.com
64.209.181.53 crawler2.googlebot.com

Just one more and out of equation Q ?

None - they are the same thing, just different ways of calling it.

It's because Googles doesn't own everything and other companies can do what they please. There is no book of laws made in stone saying what must be in a SE's index. The quality, content, and how fresh it is is very important to a SE, not how big it is. Wouldn't it be pointless to have the biggest index in the world but all the results are over 5 years old?
