Cannot set Google Preferences for Separate Window

For some reason I cannot get Google search results to open in their own separate window. I use Firefox 1.07 as my browser and have clicked the proper box. Also did the same in IE 6. Firefox is set to allow all cookies. I use ZoneAlarm Pro firewall and AVG Antivirus Professional 7.1. Previously I was able to do this but I moved my computerto another location and have wirelessly connectedtoa network.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Oh my ( ). I tried it too, and it doesn't work for me, either. And I use Firefox 1.0.7.0. And it did not work on IE, either. I don't know what version it is, but I'll find out and edit my post to include it.

But it isn't a probelm for me, as I want the search results to show up on the same page.

Just to be clear, you've set the preference both in the browser, and within Google preferences?

This is how my preferences are set, and it works for me, in Firefox.
At any rate, it's not too much of a hardship to right-click the results, and choose "open in..."

Hey! I checked again, and it works! On Firefox. And also on IE.
