Or, How about using Firefox and using the IE tab extension so you don't have to leave that nice little IE Engine of yours that you like so much.

Opera is also very good choice, especially for slow computers, that lack RAM. Definatelly better than IE, at least for me...

Why would they buy Mozilla?

Personally, I don't think they will and don't want them to.

That's like saying, hey we use SBC to connect our services up to everyone in the World, why not buy out SBC so we have complete and utter control of everything in this pathetic world.

Google likes Firefox, and since Firefox is open source, Google can make their own browser based on Firefox if they wish.

You probably wouldn't if you used it regularly, and with a few features.
Sure, it seems to take longer to load, initially, because so much of IE's functionality loads with windows.
But when it's open, I find it a lot quicker. With regular use, I have my frequent pages in history, and using Adblock, it saves a lot of time by not loading crap I don't want to see, and scripts that I don't want to run.

brbrbrI highly doubt Maxthon is *based* on IE, since it (IE) ain't open source. Oh, and I also highly doubt that microsoft is giving away source codes easily.. brbrIf they talk about that dll which has manual and everything on the microsoft site which renders html.. well.. I also wrote a browser using it in VBasic 2005 Just followed the steps provided by MS (they had No Code).. and it's very fast.. basically it's faster than notepad.. and when you load it.. than, let's say it's a wordpadbr
