I want Personalized Google to stay logged in

I love the personalized google page...it saves me a lot of time...however, I have to sign in every time I click on explorer...is there a setting or preference that will keep it signed in until I decide I want to log out?

Yes. Make sure your browser is set to allow cookies as TheBostonian stated.
If you are not sure how to do this take a look here.

Thanks for the quick responses...but, I do have my computer set to allow cookies...I even have google set to the "always allow" list- I should have let you know that when I wrote..It used to stay signed on and now it doesn't. The only thing I can think of that is any different is an MS update I did a couple of weeks ago??? Help

mondine is an unknown quantity at this point
You might need to clean out all your old cookies (from all Google services) and let new ones be set.
But that "better browser" idea is also good.

And, you could also try adding your page to the "trusted sites" security zone, if it isn't already.
