Google Delisting my site ? help me

i had like 695 pages in google and now only 580 pages any idea wats happening ?

timeframe
20st nov - 1 page got delisted (694 pages)
23rd nov - 14 pages got delisted (680)
27th nov - 100 pages delisted (580)

Hey...lucky you....still got 580 pages left. That sort of happened to mine. I had about 30 pages then they started disappearing until they were eventually all gone

Luckily for some reason, I have been relisted in google (i think it is because of Google Community, so I extend my grateful thanks to the Google Community admin...thank you!). I think google unlists sites which have not been updated, or don't have any new links to them or not enough links etc....i'm not quite sure - correct me if i'm wrong please.
P.S. Can anyone tell me why sites ARE taken out of google...why don't they just keep them there to extend their database? I know of another website of a friend, whos site has recently gone from google!
