style="display:none" still fools google
Recently I stumbled upon a page with no HTML content and 0 pagerank that comes in the search results before other pages with much higher pagerank that contain the search keyword. So I looked in the source to find this:
<div style="display:none;"> <H1> keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, ... </H1> <H2> keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, ... </H2> <H3> keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, ... </H3> <H4> keyword1, keyword2, keyword3, ... </H4> </div> There are much more elaborate ways to hide content which may be challenging to detect, but this... |
