Is that considered as redirection?

hi mates

I would really apreciate your valuable help. I have several different sites that have very similar thematic, but they are registered separately because each of them was targeted to different public (different country languages).

Now I would like for all sites to point to main one -in english language (so that it will be cheaper to maintain). But I'd like to keep old visitors of my other sites too. If I redirect those site's main pages to only one of them (english languaged), is it considered spam by Google search engine?

I mean, customer would input old address, and site would automatically redirect to english language site. How can I do this without being considered as spammer by Google?

how about instead of redirecting.. let the vistors choose language they want.. ie... display flags etc..

Use a permanent(301) redirection.
