2005 Year-End Google Zeitgeist

Google Zeitgeist[/url]]It turns out that looking at the aggregation of billions of search queries people type into Google reveals something about our curiosity, our thirst for news, and perhaps even our desires. Considering all that has occurred in 2005, we thought it would be interesting to study just a few of the significant events, and names that make this a memorable year. (We’ll leave it to the historians to determine which ones are lasting and which ephemeral.) We hope you enjoy this selective view of our collective year.

I like the page. Very complete. AND a bit scary at the same time =P Did you see what Google saves on their servers? All your seach history. And if you look in your Search History, they say something of, people with same searches like you also searched for ... And yes.. those searches were of my interest. Creepy, lol, Google knows what I like.

They see you when you're searching. They know when you're online.

Well, they do, if you log on. Or haven't logged out of a Google service.
Otherwise, you're part of the anonymous sea of aggregate results for people that are likewise concerned about the break-up of Hollywood power-couples.

I like their design. I posted a small blurb on the Google Search blog.

Thanks for posting that Randy.

I had to look up some of these:
Baidu the Chinese search engine.
Ares appears to be an open source P2P file sharing program.
Sky News seems to be an interesting news site from the U.K.

I read that it was google-like, but I didn't have any idea it was Officially Google's. I tried a couple of searches with it. Pretty cool!
