Can't find my webpage

I have a survey for my dissertation posted on a webpage hosted by the University of Maryland server and I can't find it on Google. Could there be a block on the University Server?

Either your survey hasn't been indexed yet or the directory in which is residies doesn't permit indexing. Don't drop it in there and expect it to show up right away. With the amount of stuff online this process can take a while!

Do you have many backlinks? Backlinks are very important for getting listed by Google.
